Following the release of the first part of the legendary studio session recorded by MPS label owner Hans Georg Brunner-Schwer and sound engineer Joachim-Ernst Brendt in the Black Forest on June 20, 1968, comes the eagerly awaited second part. Five days before this recording, Evans played his acclaimed, Grammy-winning performance at the Montreux Jazz Festival in a trio with bassist Gomez and drummer DeJohnette.
This LP was Remastered using Pure Analogue Components Only from the Master Tapes through to the Cutting Head.

The recordings here constitute material from the second part of a June 20, 1968 studio session recorded by HansGeorg Brunner-Schwer (HGBS) and Joachim-Ernst Brendt in Germany's Black Forest. This is no ordinary recording. This enthralling Bill Evans session was recorded five days after a famous performance at the 1968 Montreux jazz festival by Evans, bassist Eddie Gomez and drummer Jack DeJohnette. Verve's Montreux live recording won a Grammy, but this studio session has been in the vaults ever since.
