OUT OF PRINT - VERY LOW STOCK - BRAND NEW SEALED VINYL
Jazz guitarist Stochelo Rosenberg plays solo guitar and is at the forefront of the group. The family trio is completed by cousin Nons'che on double bass and brother Nonnie on rhythm guitar. Tim Kliphuis, with his voter ich, played the violin, knows how to unite gipsy jazz with the wide universe of world music and, as a second solo voice, to make the music of this quartet a very inspiring affair. The family has it in the blood, the guest no less!
As a listener, you sit in the front row, participating directly in the live concert, and you can follow the playing exactly: The recording is clear, structured and vividly accomplished. The sometimes unconventional interpretations with their breathtaking guitar and violin solos testify to the extraordinary skill of the virtuosos. The highest notes of the violin are hit perfectly, and the fast-played runs on the guitars are placed with pinpoint accuracy. The bass forms the rhythm floor but does not disappear behind the two soloists, just like the driving rhythm guitar. Music and quality are perfectly matched here!

Recording and MW Coding Process by: Fritz de With / STS Analog
In a STS recording, you will find:
1. The warm sound, that acoustic instruments possess on their own, but is often not captured by sound-technicians.
2. Acoustic placing and recognition of the musicians in the recording space.
3. Phase purity of a recording, both the electric phase (good cable/fibre connections etc), and the acoustic phase must be acquired through proper plasement of the microphones.
4. Symmetry in the recording; this means always placing the microphones in such a way that on both the left and the right side there’s an equal division of signal, and not placing mono support microphones on the extreme left and right.
5. Transparency and clarity in a recording. This does not mean an overly sharp recording, but one of softness in tone and clarity, in which especially the 3-dimensional recording space is being displayed
The sound of musical instruments played in fine acoustic surroundings, they sound so pure and warm.
At every step, STS Analog team check the recording sound results and compare the process with the original recordings. If you listen to STS music productions remember that they did their utmost best to get for you all the benefits of our effort to go far beyond the best of the best.
