New 2023 Album From Guitarist Eleonora Strino, “I Got Strings”. With the new “I Got Strings” album, Eleonora Strino renews the jazz tradition with style and freshness.
“I Got Strings” from guitarist Eleonora Strino, released on Friday, May 26 on CD and digital for Cam Jazz, resulted from a lucky meeting between two jazz champions – double bass player Greg Cohen and drummer Joey Baron.
Eleonora Strino is one of the most appreciated guitarists in the contemporary jazz scene, with a long list of excellent collaborations and concerts between Italy and abroad. “I Got Strings” covers this path, which began at the Naples Conservatory, then passed through Amsterdam, up to the beginning of a long collaboration with the Roberto De Simone orchestra.
Recorded in a single day in Berlin in November 2021, “I Got Strings” contains seven tracks, re-readings of some of the most memorable pages of jazz. After the opening track, “I Let A Song Go Out Of My Heart” by Ellington, follow “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” by Arlen, “I Got Rhythm” by Gershwin, “Il Postino” by Bacalov, “I Got It Bad” and “That Ain’t Good and It Don’t Mean A Thing” also by Ellington, and finally “Estate” by Bruno Martino.

Eleonora Strino is recognized by critics as one of the most promising young talents in the international jazz scene.
The international jazz magazine “Jazz Guitar Today” featured her on the cover of its February 2020 issue, following features dedicated to musicians of the caliber of Peter Bernstein, Kurt Rosenwinkel, John Scofield, and other great guitarists of the current scene.
On March ’23, her educational book ‘Bebop Scales for Jazz Guitar’ was released worldwide. It was published by music educator ‘Fundamental Changes’ which Amazon describes as “the most important independent music publisher in the world.”
