One of the most influential pianists of the 20th Century, he had earned his stripes alongside the great John Coltrane in his famed quartet, recording albums such as My Favorite Things and A Love Supreme.
The spark immediately jumps over to the listener. In this recording, the quartet really gives gas and the album gets stronger and stronger towards the end!
The great feature is that René Bishop still has his tapes from the 1960s. With them he once drove to his performances with his tape machine PHILIPS "PRO-12" to playback the instruments and sing along.
