Through that, he became a producer for a very short while, which also allowed him to visit some of the major recording studios in Switzerland. Jürg has a degree-level in electronics and had quite a successful career as a musician before taking over the family audio business in Switzerland.

He is a passionate music lover, he has fulfilled his wish to turn his analogue reel tape passion and hobby into his career in the audio music industry. In 2023/2024 Jürg’s name was seen in connection with the Yello - Stella album master reel tape release project, and he was chosen to make the limited master studio edition reel tape copies of the Yello Swiss Band Album releases on reel audio tapes.

The Triston Masters

Jürg became a technician, reel tape recording sound adviser and founded the recording label in Switzerland under the trade brand Triston Masters. Triston Masters, a Swiss record label, whose fully dedicated to the analogue domain recordings with a passion for the duplication of music audio reel tapes from the original master tape. Triston Masters has published very rare original recordings for which it has been able to acquire licenses, and the best of which it plans to offer on AAA LP Recordings and some on Master Reel Tape in the future.

SCHOPPER AUDIO: Living For Music Since 1923

From a small musical instrument shop to the World Wide Web...

It has been a long journey since the day SCHOPPER AUDIO open the doors to the public for the first time. The year is 1923 when Juerg grandfather decided to establish a small musical instrument store in the city of Schaffhousen, in north-eastern Switzerland. Several years passed by before my grandfather chose to settle in the then-prosperous and cultural city of Winterthur. With the rapid growth of business, the audio shop, which originally intended to sell just music supplies primarily, started to diversify by adding a new line of products such as gramophones, phonographs and radios.

The higher request for vintage equipment and restoration services was leading to the specialisation for analogue only. To get the program complete SCHOPPER AUDIO team added service and sale of professional reel-to-reel tape recorders, and established its own record label “Triston Recording The Masters”, which offers fully analogue recorded material from all over the world.
