This album has International and American Rumbas, Samba, international and American Foxtrots, West Coast Swings, Nightclub 2-step, Bolero AND SHOW DANCES (including foxtrot) timing and rhythms. NEW EXCITING MUSIC for the ballroom world to enjoy and showcase beautiful dances to meaningful lyrics of American songbook jazz standards. The song list includes George Harrison's 'Something' and Fred Astaire's famous dancer songs, 'Change Partners' and 'Last Dance.' The album musicians are the very best jazz musicians Los Angeles has to offer. Stellar performances by Lyn Stanley (vocals) with pianists, Mike Lang, Tamir Hendelman, Llew Matthews; bass players Trey Henry, Kevin Axt, Jim DeJulio; drummers include Jeff Hamilton, Bernie Dresel, Paul Kreibich. Solo performances by Bob Sheppard (tenor sax), Bob McChesney (trombone), Thom Rotella (jazz guitar), and Gilbert Castellanos (trumpet/flugelhorn). Original engineering by Grammy and Emmy winner, Tommy Vacari, re-mix by Brent Thomas Mills (original by Al Schmitt and mastering by Bernie Grundman).
